Who we are
Generational farming practices perfected over time.
“Beautiful to See”
The Scopelliti family has their origins in the farming district of Mildura in Sunraysia, located in the far north-west of Victoria. Paul Scopelliti (Senior) first settled in the district in the early 1950's after migrating from Italy; It would be here where he would pioneer the mediterranean culture of growing fruit and vegetables to acclimatise to the Australian conditions. He soon established himself as one of the districts most successful and profitable growers of fruit and vegetables.
Over the years, with the help of his six sons and wife, Paul Scopelliti continued to acquire substantial land-holdings in the Sunraysia district, much of the farm land he acquired was originally bush land which developed into highly prosperous farm land and is still today retained by the family.
The Karadoc farm was passed on by Mr. Paul Scopelliti (Senior) to three of his sons who formed a partnership which today is known as “Belvedere Fruit Growers" (The name translated from Italian meaning “Beautiful to See”)
Since the formation of Belvedere Fruit Growers the team has envisioned themselves to be a prosperous and diverse business being recognised for their premier brand and services in both national and global markets. In total Belvedere has now seen their operations expand to over 500 acres of citrus, table grapes, avocados and mango production.
Belvedere Fruit Growers live to the late Paolo’s mantra of progressively evolving, pioneering new techniques and importantly producing top quality produce to the end customer.
It’s ingrained that Belvedere ensures that only the best fruit is grown, picked, packed and distributed to the public using the most innovative management and operational practices under experienced guidance of their employers and suppliers.
